A 62-year-old man was taken to the hospital after a motorcycle crash along State Fair Rd., near the curves west of Plum.
The motorcycle rider Valdean A. Lamb of Hutchinson lost control of the motorcycle he was riding and struck a vehicle driven by 57-year-old Ronald J. Schrag also of Hutchinson.
Lamb was eastbound and struck Schrag’s vehicle just behind the drivers door. Lamb was taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment of scrapes and bruises. Schrag was not injured.
Police Sgt., Rob Rowe says they don’t believe speed or alcohol was a factor in the crash, but it did force the closure of State Fair Road which runs along the north-side of the state fairgrounds between Main and Plum.
The accident occurring during the noon hour around 12:15 p-m.
