The second suspect in a robbery case from back on March 30, was in court Wednesday where he entered a plea on an amended charge of felony interference with law enforcement. Preston Riagoza had been charged with robbery. In court he admitted to lying to law enforcement that he didn’t know what happened with the robbery.
The co-defendant, 26-year-old Robert Raigoza Jr., was granted 36-months community corrections on a 32-month underlying sentence after he entered a “guilty” plea to the robbery charge against him. Both sides recommended the probation in the case against him.
The two allegedly took a bank bag full of cash from an employee of the Dickinson Theaters at 1500 East 11th. The robbery allegedly occurring while an employee was at Central Bank & Trust at 1330 East 17th.
The two were arrested a short time later in the 2100 block of North Lorraine. The incident reported to police around 12:40 a-m, that Saturday morning.
Preston Raigoza will be sentenced on January 24, in front of Judge Joe McCarville. Both sides will be able to argue disposition in the case.
