HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The state is declining prosecution for two Hutchinson Community College students who were arrested on April 19 on drug charges
Nineteen-year-old Raashid Jamal Arnold and 21-year-old Jaleen Cooks were both arrested on drug charges but the state is declining to prosecute either one of them pending the outcome of additional investigation.
Arnold was arrested for suspicion of distribution of marijuana within a thousand feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute and no drug tax stamp. Cooks was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Arnold is suspected of selling drugs from his vehicle in one of the parking lots at the college.
