HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A 46-year-old man was in District Court Thursday morning where he was read two charges against him filed by the state.
Darin Niehaus is charged with aggravated battery for intentional physical contact. The state alleges that on Jan. 24, he allegedly made contact using his vehicle striking another man causing injury .
The state also charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, his vehicle. They allege that on that same date, he put a second person in reasonable apprehension of being injured.
Niehaus is free on bond and his case will move to a waiver-status hearing on June 1.
