HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Two residents were in court Thursday morning on drug related charges after they were arrested following a search warrant being served on their residence on Wednesday.

Fifty-year-old Danny Stahl and 53-year-old Jackie Bowman both face charges involving the distribution of drugs.

Officers with the Reno County Drug Unit allege that during the search of the home in the 600 block of West 5th they found a small Mary Kay brand makeup bag. Inside were two small metal boxes, one of which contained a bag of suspected methamphetamine which they allege weighed 2.7 grams. Also in the bag was a digital scale and other similar baggies. In an outside zipper pocket of that bag was $200. They also found numerous different sized pipes on a dresser.

In the living room, they found a Hutchinson Police Department shirt, two more scales and a canister with suspected marijuana, around 4.7 grams.

Both appeared from the Reno County Correctional Facility via video before Magistrate Judge Cheryl Allen where she told them of the potential charges, which includes possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to package drugs and no tax stamp.

The bond for Stahl was set at $10,000, while the bond for Bowman was left at $16,000.

Both will be back in court next Thursday for the formal reading of charges.
