HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Reno County Drug Unit served a search warrant Wednesday afternoon at a home in the 700 block of Brookside Drive, leading to two arrests.
Sixty-year-old Willard Lagrange (top left) faces charges of possession of methamphetamine and marijuana with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute and no tax stamp.
Fifty-eight-year-old David Danner (top right) faces charges of possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. He also faces a parole violation. He has a long criminal history involving drugs, including unlawful manufacturing going back to 2002.
There were four people at the home when the drug unit served the search warrant and all four admitted to using methamphetamine or marijuana, or both.
During the search, they allegedly found 3.6 grams of methamphetamine as well as drug paraphernalia, including packaging materials and a small amount of marijuana. The meth was split into several small baggies, which weighed about 2 grams each.
Most of what they found was allegedly in the room belonging to Lagrange. He’s also no stranger to prison, having convictions for criminal possession of a firearm, drugs and aggravated battery.
In court, Magistrate Judge Cheryl Allen set bond for Lagrange at $10,000, while the bond for Danner was set at $2,500.
Both will be back in court on Oct. 29 for the formal reading of charges.
