HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A 26-year-old man arrested back on Oct. 14 for allegedly breaking into a residence and then committing sexual battery was back in court Thursday morning for the formal reading of charges.
Christopher Mayberry is charged with aggravated burglary for going into a residence in the 600 block of East 9th, where someone was inside, then touching a 16-year-old and not the spouse of the victim for his own sexual pleasure.
Mayberry is no stranger to law enforcement having served time in prison for drugs, criminal damage and burglary for cases going back to 2007 and 2008.
With the charges filed, this case will move to a waiver-status docket in front of Magistrate Judge Cheryl Allen on Nov. 18.
