A 21-year-old man who only list an address as USA was back in court Wednesday morning where he was read the formal complaint alleging possession of methamphetamine, felony flee and elude and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Michael Morgan was finally stopped by Hutchinson Police just before 2 a-m on August 6, after he led them on a short chase. During the arrest, they allegedly found him in possession of methamphetamine, and the personal use drug paraphernalia.
In court, he admitted that he needed drug treatment and when it came time to talk about his bond, he indicated that he has a hold in Linn County, so bond doesn’t mean much at this point.
Morgan is also scheduled to be sentenced Friday in another case where he was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana with a prior conviction and theft. This after he was caught stealing an MP3 player from Kohl’s Department Store in Hutchinson.
This case occurring on April 14 and sentencing in the case is set for Friday morning in front of Judge Trish Rose.
