HUTCHINSON. Kan. — The Hutchinson USD 308 School Board will take action on the proposal to raise the district’s LOB during Monday’s meeting.
Under state law, districts must pass a resolution to increase its local option budget by July 1. The proposal before the board will be to raise the LOB from 28.5 percent to an even 30 percent. Increasing the LOB to 30 percent would generate about $508 thousand per year. The money would be used in the supplemental general fund. The district is facing budget issues and says it needs to raise revenue or make cuts.
Monday’s Hutchinson USD 308 School Board meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the school district offices at 1520 N. Plum.
