During a Pre-trial hearing Friday for one of six defendant’s charged with attempted murder and other felonies, Judge Tim Chambers set a motion deadline in the case.
Jordon LeShore is charged with attempted first degree murder, two counts of aggravated battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated burglary
He along with the other five suspects are accused with the beating and stabbing of Jeffrey Payne. The five include Joseph LeShore, Sean Arevalo Mendoza, Desmond Cantu, Troy Bell and John Robert Cantu.
Judge Chambers didn’t set a trial date for Jordon LeShore thus far, but did set a motions deadline in the case for August 30. Apparently there will be no plea negotiations between the state and Jordon LeShore
The attack on Payne occurred back on February 18, when these men allegedly broke into Payne’s home and physically attacked and stabbed him numerous times in the leg and torso.
The motive for the attack appears to be an incident involving the LeShore brothers mother where she may have been slapped so hard, she was knocked down.
Judge Joe McCarville had earlier revoked Jordon LeShore’s probation for in two previous cases and he’s currently serving 30-months in prison.
More pretrial hearings for other defendant’s are scheduled in the coming weeks.
