HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The sales tax numbers for the new Reno County Jail continues to do well according to figures handed out by County Administrator Gary Meagher at the County Commission meeting Tuesday.
It shows that for the month of September, the county collected $479, 643. That is an increase over the August number when the county brought in $469, 973. The September number reflects sales in the month of July.
So far this year, the county has collected $4,232,315. These dollars coming from the half cent sales tax approved by voters for the new jail and other improvements to the courthouse and also changes to the current jail annex.
