HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Police were put in a scary situation last night in dealing with a disturbed woman and her children.
Authorities were called out just before 6 p.m. to the 200 block of S. Plum after a woman reported she was concerned for some children and the woman inside. When authorities arrived, they found 22-year-old Michelle Taylor and three children running naked down the street. Police were forced to subdue the woman who at that time struck one officer in the face twice. She also tried to reach for another officer’s sidearm during the scuffle. The woman was tased, and then taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for observation before being booked in the Reno County jail. None of the children, which included a small infant, were injured.
Taylor is charged with aggravated battery of a law enforcement officer, battery of a law enforcement officer, criminal damage to property, assault of a law enforcement officer, interference with a law enforcement officer and child endangerment. Her bond is set at $11,850.
