Hutch man charged with racketeering scheduled for arraignment Monday

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – After three days of hearings back in June for a 28-year-old Hutchinson man accused of selling drugs twice to confidential informants, Matthew Gullick will face arraignment on Monday on an amended compliant.

Gullick faces trial for charges of racketeering, two counts for the sale of methamphetamine, two counts of using a communications device for making a drug transaction, no tax stamp, three counts of making false information and three counts of possession of stolen property.

In the first case, he allegedly sold less then a half a gram and in the second, it was just over two grams. The state also presented evidence of other crimes including making false writing involving three pawn tickets and also being in possession of stolen property on three occasions. Those crimes occurring back in October and November of last year.

Earlier, Judge McCarville found probable cause to send three other less serious cases to trial as well.

Gullick remains jailed on a total of $97,000, and arraignment will be in front of Judge Tim Chambers.
