HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A 33-year-old Hutchinson man with at least four other cases pending and two where he was sentenced Thursday was arrested again Wednesday on new charges.
33-year-old Timothy McQueen was arrested along with 21-year-old Kelsey Hambey and both charged with burglary, theft and criminal damage after the owner of State Wide Mini Storage reported finding them in a storage unit at 312 W 4th.
Both made first appearances Thursday morning in front of Judge Trish Rose who has been covering first appearances for Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen. She lowered the bond for McQueen which has been set at $100,000, but it was lowed it to $50,000 over the objection of the state. Hambey’s bond was already set at $50,000.
Earlier in the morning, McQueen was before Judge Rose in her courtroom for sentencing in two other cases. He was convicted of aggravated burglary for a case that goes back to October 5, 2012. He had broke into a building at 206 West 5th. Judge Rose sentenced him to 10-months in prison, then granted 1-years probation.
In the other case, he was convicted of possession of methamphetamine for a case that goes back to November 16, 2012. Judge Rose sentenced him to one year, eight months in prison, but again granted probation of one year, 8-months.
She ran the two probation periods consecutive to each other meaning he will be on probation for two years, 8-months.
McQueen earlier this year had been arrested a few month back for allegedly breaking into five storage units. In that case, McQueen was arrested for five counts of burglary, five counts of theft and five counts of criminal damage.
In the other cases, McQueen is accused of entering a Hutchinson woman’s home, stealing jewelry and other personal items. This case goes back to May 31. Then there is the case from April 1. In this case, he’s charged with three counts of auto burglary.
He also has a case pending trial where he’s charged with aggravated burglary for going into Dillon’s after being advised of criminal trespass for committing a theft.
Those cases are all still pending.
Hambey has four other cases pending and her cases are scheduled as a part of the waiver-status docket in front of Judge Joe McCarville next Wednesday.
