HUTCHINSON, Kan — She had waited almost 30 years for this moment, so for Brittany Dunn five hours more of waiting for a very late Amtrak train to arrive this morning didn’t matter too much.
Dunn and her biological mother met for the first time face to face since her mother gave her up for adoption 27 years ago. The two were reunited by e-mail and face book a little more than a year ago. But special circumstances brought them together. Dunn’s mother Robin MAC Neil told BW News that she is terminally ill, and wanted to get a chance to see the girl she was separated from. The pair said they really didn’t have any firm plans at this moment, other than to get reacquainted again.
MAC Neil says she would like to take Dunn back home with her.
