Hutchinson To Host Kansas American Legion Mid-Winter Forum

Lysle Rishel American Legion Post 68 at 730 West 4th in Hutchinson will serve as host for the Kansas American Legion Mid-Winter Forum, January 31st through February 2nd. The Mid-Winter Forum is a joint conference between the American Legion, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Sons of the American Legion.

This year’s Forum will feature three speakers from the American Legion National Headquarters and one from the US Army Reserves 451st Expeditionary Sustainment Command. National Headquarters speakers include Debbie Harmening, King Doxsee, and David Elmore. Each of the National representatives’ presentation is a part of the “Leadership Education and Development” program of National Headquarters.

The Sons of the American Legion (SAL) special guests who will speak at the Forum are SAL National Commander Joe Gladden and Mike Moss, the Leading Candidate to become the next National Commander.

The headquarters hotel is the Ramada Hotel & Conference Center, 1400 North Lorraine. The American Legion activities and all meals will take place at Lysle Rishel Post 68, the American Legion Auxiliary events will commence at the Delos V. Smith Senior Center in Downtown Hutchinson at 101 West 1st and the Sons of the American Legion activities will be at City Beverage at 2 South Kirby.
