The construction project for the new Fire Science Training Center is scheduled to begin this month.
A groundbreaking ceremony for the Fire Science construction project will be held December 12, at 4:30 p-m, at the Hutchinson Fire Training Grounds located at 3201 E. 4th.
Members of the HCC administration, HCC Board of Trustees and HCC President Dr. Edward Berger will be among the group which will begin the project at the ceremony. The project is scheduled for completion in late summer 2014. A&A Builders of Hutchinson will serve as the general contractor for the building plans.
The facility will provide classroom and instructional space, as well as space for training exercises for both the Fire Science Program and Hutchinson Fire Department.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend the ceremony.
