Tuesday will be a big day in the Buhler “USD 313” School District. This is the day of the official groundbreaking for a new elementary school that will replace two aging ones.
They will hold the groundbreaking of Plum Creek Elementary at 10 a-m, at the site, at 901 East 43rd.
Once completed, the new school will replace two in the Buhler District, that being Obee School at 4th & Obee Road just east of Hutchinson, and Prosperity located north of 43rd on Plum. The decision to replace the two schools and build a new one was part of the 44.9-million dollar bond issue passed by district voters last fall.
