SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The westbound lanes of US-50 will be closed at the K-14/K-96 interchange just west of South Hutchinson for several days starting Friday morning.
Construction crews will be removing damaged sections of the bridge so it can be repaired. The bridge was damaged last month when a semi hauling an excavator rammed the underside of the span causing damage to two girders and part of the deck. Along with the westbound lanes of US-50, the northbound lane of the bridge itself will also be closed.
Crews hope to have the demo work completed early next week.
