HUTCHINSON, Kan. — One of three men arrested back on April 2 on drug distribution charges was back before a judge Wednesday morning over a motion for a bond reduction.
Robert Goodman, 32, asked Magistrate Judge Cheryl Allen for an OR or signature bond. The state objected noting that two of the charges have a significant sentence attached if convicted. Judge Allen denied the request for the signature bond, but did agree to lower it from $19,000 to $10,000.
Goodman and co-defendants, Charles Crumble and Derrick Taylor, both 25 years old were arrested after police came to a motel room in the 300 block of East 4th.
Charges against the three include distribution of methamphetamine and marijuana, possession of prescription drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia for distribution as well as personal use. Goodman and Taylor are also charged with criminal possession of a firearm.
Police were able to get consent to search the room and allegedly found items consistent with the distribution of drugs as well as a fully loaded 45-caliber handgun and a large amount of cash on all three.
The cases for the three are scheduled as part of aa waiver-status docket on May 4.
