HUTCHINSON, Kan. – In addition to discussion of zoning changes, The Reno County Commission approved an agreement with KDOT for the federal fund exchange program administered through Reno County Public works
They also approved a couple of items from last week including the holiday schedule for next year for county employees and a change to the route for RCAT which will add a stop to the Reno County Correctional Facility. That means that they will begin the process of advertising the route change for 30-days and the change will take effect on June 1.
They also approved the Community Corrections Comprehensive Plan grant through the Kansas Department of Corrections in he amount of $652,528.
The commission also approved an agreement with Kansas Mobile Solutions to do ex-ray and ultra sound test on inmates at the facility. The company actually comes to the jail facility to perform the test which officials say will save the county money over what they were spending on sending inmates to local facilities such as the Hutchinson Clinic.
The comission also approved a couple pf purchases for the Reno County Solid Waste including a 2016 Cat motor grader from Foley Equipment for $214,700. Also approved was a quote from Sitech Central of Wichita to update and install new software on GPS equipment at a cost of $9,623.00.
And the commission set a public hearing date over the petitions we told you about earlier this week over some residents and business owners wanting out of the fire district they’re in and being moved into Fire District 8.
That hearing will be next Tuesday, April 26 at 11 a.m. It will be held at the Cedar Crest Mennonite Church at 7213 Mills Ave.
