HUTCHINSON, Kan. – It was last Thursday when a 52-year-old Wichita man was arrested on suspicion of distributing drugs here in Hutchinson.
Police responded to a Hutchinson home on the report of a 911 hangup. They could then hear arguing inside the home. They made contact with Douglas Buck and apparently located a Skoal can that allegedly contained three packs of cocaine and some cash on him as well.
Buck made a first appearance on the charges Tuesday morning where he was told of the potential charges including possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute, no tax stamp and disorderly contact – domestic violence.
Bond was set at $13,600 and during the court appearance, he argued for an OR or signature bond. That was denied, but Magistrate Judge Cheryl Allen did agree to lower it to $8,000. he’ll be back in court next week for the formal reading of any charges.
