RENO COUNTY — The Reno County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a large amount of irrigation pipe.
Douglas Engelland of Sterling reported that, on his property at 7201 W. 108th, someone had stolen irrigation pipe. In fact, officials say, within the last two weeks, suspects went to the location and took 176 pieces of aluminum flood gated irrigation pipe.
Suspects also damaged an irrigation well motor in an attempt to steal it.
Suspects also took approximately 15 feet of copper wire that ran from the motor to the electrical pole.
No arrests have been made in this case with the investigation continuing.
