HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A 38-year-old woman could face a charge of robbery after she allegedly forced her way out of a local store after allegedly stealing items.
Tori Phleger apparently went into K-Mart around 3:45 p.m. Sunday and was putting items in a cloth bag she had over her shoulder. She paid for three items, but failed to pay for others. She was confronted just outside the store and refused to come back inside when ask to do so. She allegedly pushed an employee to make her escape. She was eventually located at her apartment where items associated with the theft were allegedly found.
In court, she sobbed as the judge told her of the potential charge of robbery. She did manage to convince the judge to lower her bond to $2,500.
She’ll be back in court next week or whenever the state files formal charges.
