Fans Have Opportunity to Celebrate Championship on Official Trophy Tour
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — On Monday, Feb. 8, the Kansas City Royals World Series Trophy Tour, presented by the Missouri Lottery and the Kansas Lottery, will embark on visits to communities throughout the Midwest including Hutchinson, this in conjunction with sponsors Academy Sports and Outdoors, Pepsi and Planet Fitness.
The event in Hutchinson will be Feb. 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kansas State Fairgrounds, at the Meadowlark Building, presented by the Kansas Lottery and hosted by Eagle Radio station KWBW-AM 1450 and FM 98.5.
Fans will be able to see the trophy in person at each stop during a specified two-hour period on a first-come, first-served basis.
In order to accommodate as many people as possible, photo opportunities will only be available as either an individual or group shot. Fans will also have the opportunity to have a professional photo taken and can purchase those photos on-site and online at www.royals.com. A portion of all professional photo purchases benefit Royals Charities.
At select stops, the trophy will be joined by Sluggerrr and KayCee, the Royals Hall of Fame baseball character. Fans attending the Trophy Tour stops can also receive a free Pepsi Cherry Vanilla courtesy of Pepsi Cola while supplies last.
The Trophy Tour follows Royals FanFest, presented by Commerce Bank, taking place on Jan. 29 and 30 at Bartle Hall at the Kansas City Convention Center. The event will feature appearances by current and former Royals, interactive games for fans of all ages, main stage events and more.
A schedule of other Trophy Tour stops can be found at www.royals.com/trophytour.
