HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A Reno County man who was facing charges in two cases was back in court where he again was read the charges again for the alleged 2014 crimes.
Rex Leonard was angry when he appeared before Magistrate Judge Cheryl Allen. He told the judge in an angry tone, “I’m innocent, innocent, innocent.” He admitted that he was ticked off over the charges and Judge Allen advised him not to talk specifics on the charges in front of the two prosecutors who were in the courtroom.
He’s charged with a felony count of stalking, a misdemeanor count of stalking and one count of violation of a protection from abuse order. The alleged crimes occurring of Sept, 15 and Sept. 18, of 2014.

Leonard has been free on bond and the judge assigned him a public defender and set the case for a waiver-status hearing on Dec. 30.
