A 21-year-old man who only list an address as USA and was arrested last week for close to 90-charges associated with burglaries in the Hutchinson area may not face all those charges after all.
Michael Morgan was in court again Wednesday morning but appears to only be facing a few charges associated with burglaries and thefts in the area. Senior Assistant District Attorney Steve Maxwell says he has only charged 7-counts as of now.
Hutchinson Police Detective Jamie Schoenhoff agreed that he is no longer a suspect in many of the cases.
He was in court Wednesday morning and was read the complaint charging him with four non-residential burglaries, one burglary of a dwelling, one count of felony theft and one count of misdemeanor theft.
These crimes allegedly occurring on July 26, and August 1 of this year.
Morgan had been in court last week for possession of methamphetamine, felony flee and elude and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He had been stopped by Hutchinson Police just before 2 a-m on August 6, after he led them on a short chase. During the arrest, they allegedly found him in possession of methamphetamine, and personal use drug paraphernalia.
In court Wednesday morning, Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen dropped the 128-thousand dollar bond to 15-thousand on the burglary and theft cases.
