HUTCHINSON, Kan. – An author from Nashville, Kan., will be at Bluebird Books in Hutchinson on Dec. 3 to sign copies of her new book entitled “Land of Heart Links: Adoption.”
Lois McKnight-Theis wrote the book and says the story tells how the queen and king share the joy of adopting babies with all the families in the Land of Heart Links. Then the queen surprises the children with news that a baby was growing inside her. She explains to them how they grew inside birth mothers, just as this new baby was growing. The king, queen, three boys, and one girl join together to make up the royal family.
The final question from the little girl is, “When can I have a sister to play with? I don’t like to play with all those boys!” How do you suppose the queen answers? You can find out with the book.
McKnight-Theis will be at Bluebird Books from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 3.
