TOPEKA, Kan. – Gov. Sam Brownback Tuesday appointed Marilyn M. Wilder of Hesston as District Judge for the Kansas 9th District Court. Wilder fills a vacancy created by the retirement of Chief Judge Richard B. Walker.
“I am pleased to appoint Marilyn Wilder to the 9th District Court,” Gov. Brownback said. “Her experience makes her an excellent choice to serve the residents of McPherson and Harvey counties.”
Wilder currently is in private practice with Adrian & Pankratz, P.A. in Newton. She is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Law and Taylor University.
The state’s 105 counties are organized into 31 Judicial Districts. The district courts serve as the trial courts for the state, overseeing all civil and criminal cases. The 9th District Court includes McPherson and Harvey counties.
