HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A 54-year-old Hutchinson man has been formally charged for the armed robbery of Dollar General at 7 S. Adams back on Oct. 16.

Leroy Randall is charged with two counts of kidnapping and one count of aggravated robbery. All three charges are level three felonies with a sentencing range of between four years and six months in prison to over 20 years, depending on his past criminal history.

A store employee reported that a black male came into the store, stuck a gun in her face and demanded money. That employee apparently screamed, causing another employee to come out of the bathroom of the store. Randall is then alleged to have pointed the gun at him.

During the robbery, he allegedly got away with over $3,000.

He locked two employees in a bathroom and fled the store on foot.

In court he requested a bond reduction saying he has two jobs he wanted to get back to so he could hire an attorney. Magistrate Judge Cheryl Allen denied the request and bond remains at $75,000.
