HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A local man is jailed on a bond of $55,000 after two search warrants were served at his residence in the unit block of South Poplar.
Kristopher Lee Richards faces potential charges of possession of marijuana, methamphetamine, Hash and Hydrocodone all with intent to distribute within a thousand feet of a school. Other charges include possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute, personal use drug paraphernalia and no tax stamp.
Police apparently served a search warrant Monday and discovered drug paraphernalia in plain sight. They then obtained the second search warrant where they found the drugs, as well as scales and other paraphernalia.
Magistrate Judge Cheryl Allen left the bond where it was set at when he was arrested and set his case for a status hearing on Oct. 27 to see if the state has filed formal charges.
