HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The U.S.D. 308 School Board Monday took an extended look at the district’s instructional policies during its meeting.
The board reviewed Operational Expectations No. 10 – Curriculum and Instruction. The district has an extensive curriculum review and implementation system in place. The review process examines trends, research and best practices. The implementation process includes all the pieces needed to make sure students are being taught district curriculum.
Part and parcel to the process is making sure staff receive professional development for district curriculum and then ways to ensure the curriculum is being faithfully delivered to students in ways they can understand it.
After reviewing OE-10, the Board held the district was in compliance.
