HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A woman has been arrested on a charge of first degree murder amd conspiracy to commit first degree murder. That word comes from officials at the courthouse.
She is identified as 27-year-old Jamie Dannielle Hatfield and she’s jailed on a half million dollar bond.
This arrest concerns the death of 38-year-old Mary Ann Arnett, whose body was found near Nickerson back on June 22.
This case also led to the police shooting of 22-year-old Jonathan P. Wilson was shot by Hutchinson Police after reportedly admitting to a person in a home on North Van Buren that he had murdered someone, leading to the confrontation with police and him being shot and killed. This back on June 23.
District Attorney Keith Schroeder had ruled that Hutchinson Police Officers were completely justified in the actions they took resulting in the death of Wilson.
All reports and information in this case will be forwarded to the Reno County District Attorneys Office for review prior to formal charges being filed.
Sheriff Captain Steve Lutz says in a news release that there are several other steps that need to be completed including but not limited to additional interviews and other investigative duties.
Details of how Arnett died and her relationship with Wilson and Hatfield have not been released.
She should make a first appearance in court Thursday morning.
