SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The second suspect in a home invasion in South Hutchinson late last week appeared before Judge Trish Rose Monday where he was told of the potential charges against him.
29-year-old Jesse Aich appeared from the Reno County Jail where he was able to convince the judge to lower his bond to $50,000. But, he also had a warrant for failing to appear before Judge Rose Friday. That bond was set at $10,000.
He along with 32-year-old Charles Swepston were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery and battery for an incident that happened early Friday morning.
South Hutchinson police were called to a home shortly after 7 a.m. Friday and were told two men had forced their way inside and demanded money and valuables. The two victims reportedly fought with the intruders before Aich allegedly left and came back with a handgun, firing twice but not hitting anyone.
Swepston has a bond of $37,500.
Both are expected back before a Judge Wednesday for a status hearing where its expected they’ll be read the formal charges.
