STAFFORD COUNTY, Kan. –Three people were injured in an accident just before 8 a.m. on Wednesday in Stafford County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 GMC pickup driven by Mandi Nicole Maree Huffman, 23, Nashville, KS., was northbound on U.S. 281 and stopped at the stop sign at the U.S. 50 Junction.
The pickup pulled into the intersection and into the path of a 2014 Ram pickup driven by Rustam J. Hurd, 26, Hutchinson, that was westbound on U.S. 50. The vehicles collided.
Hurd, Huffman and a two-year-old child in the GMC were transported to Stafford District Hospital.
The child was transferred to St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita.
All were properly restrained at the time of the accident according to the KHP.
