NICKERSON, Kan. – The Reno County Sheriff’s Office along with the KBI are investigating a found body in a small creek near 43rd & Riverton Road.
This would be three miles south of Nickerson. The Sheriff’s Office says a passerby apparently discovered the body around 1:20 p.m. this afternoon. The body of an unknown white female was found deceased. She was wearing dark athletic clothing and has numerous tattoo’s.
The Sheriff’s Office also released the description of Tattoo on her left forearm which are of four paw prints, possibly wolf tracks, no color. Tattoo on left calf is some type of vine with colored stars.
Residents of this area advised that earlier in they day they observed two blue pickup trucks, a white Dodge Magnum and three individuals at the bridge near the creekbed. We would like to speak to those individuals that were at the bridge.
As with any unattended death, they are treating the death as suspicious until they can prove otherwise.
