BUHLER, Kan. — Voters in Buhler gave the OK for a one percent sales tax for a wellness center with 157 voters saying “yes” while 93 residents said “no” to the tax.
The wellness center would be in Wheatland Park. This is in conjunction to the already approved $10,000,000 bond issue which is making improvements to various athletic facilities. The city would also use the sales tax for infrastructure, such as streets.
It’s the first city sales tax for Buhler.
