Dakota Anderson 2

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The fourth individual suspected of being involved with the aggravated robberies in Hutchinson is in custody according to Hutchinson Police Lt. Marty Robertson. Nineteen-year-old Dakota Anderson was picked up by Police Monday morning.

That means he’ll face similar charges to the other three, including two counts of aggravated burglary, one count of kidnapping, two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of aggravated battery. He should make a first appearance Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, as expected, 19-year-old Jordan Leffel appeared via video from the Reno County Jail for a first appearance on potential charges against him. That includes one count of aggravated robbery, one count of aggravated kidnapping in connection with the Family Affair robbery, one count of aggravated burglary and one count of aggravated robbery in connection to the home invasion at 3601 Rockwood Dr.

In court he requested a reduction of the $85,000 bond to $50,000 and told the judge he would agree to house arrest and electronic monitoring. But, Assistant District Attorney Andrew Davidson objected to any reduction saying he believes if anything, it should be increased. Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen didn’t raise the bond, but he didn’t lower it either.

It was announced Friday that he, along with 17-year-old Brendan Jones, 20-year-old Frederick Lemens Jr. and Anderson are the suspects involved.

Lemens already made his first appearance on Friday and is expected back in court Wednesday. Leffel is also expected back Wednesday.

The four are suspected in the three crimes, including the robbery of Family Affair business located at 1515 E. 4th, and home invasions at 3601 Rockwood Dr. and 3415 N. Waldron.

Police conducted a number of search warrants last week and allege they found items from all three robberies.
