The Kansas Department of Transportation announced approved bids Monday for state highway construction and maintenance projects in Kansas. The letting took place July 17 in Topeka.
Only one project was named for Reno County. That was at Cheney State Park in the southeast part of the county. That includes east and west shore area, where existing asphalt surfaces will worked on, along with state park road. Cornejo & Sons LLC, of Wichita will do the work at a cost of 686-thousand, 150-dollars.
All other projects in the south-central Kansas region were in Sedgwick and Sumner Counties.
In McPherson County, work on I-135, from the county line, north to 1 mile north of
I-135- K-260 junction, will include ultra-thin bonded asphalt surfacing, for 6.3 miles. APAC Kansas Inc. Shears Division, in Hutchinson won that bid at a cost, 1-million, 105-thousand, 717-dollars.
