HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Public Schools Board of Education Monday approved the district calendar for 2015-16.
The calendar parallels the 2014-15 calendar, but starts slightly later because Labor Day is the latest it can be in 2015. The first day of school for pre-kindergarten through ninth grade will be Aug. 18 with Hutchinson High School sophomores through seniors reporting on Aug. 19. There will be a full week off at Thanksgiving for students, while staff are off Nov. 25 to 26. Christmas-New Year’s Recess will be Dec. 21, 2015, through Jan. 1, 2016. Spring Break will be March 21 through 25, 2016.
The final day of class for seniors will be May 19, 2016. For all other students, the final day of classes will be May 24.
