HUTCHINSON, Kan. – In case you haven’t heard, the New Year will bring in a change here at BW Radio. We will no longer be getting ABC radio news at the top of the hour. Instead, we will become a CBS Radio News affiliate.
Station Manager Mark Trotman says the reason for the change is the way ABC is going to be distributed, so the decision was made to change affiliations. CBS News has long been a good fit for News-Talk stations and makes it a good fit for BW Radio.
This is the second time that BW has switched affiliations. We were originally a NBC affiliate, then switched to ABC. Now we become a CBS Radio affiliate.
The change will actually occur at 8 p.m., local time this evening.
