HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The county did canvass the county vote tally from the election from last week after the meeting Monday was complete.

It showed that the turnout in the county was pretty good for a mid-term election. Of the 40,833 registered voters in the county, 19,231 cast a vote, or 47.10 percent.

There were no changes to who won in any of the races, including the race in the 102nd legislative district, where incumbent Jan Pauls won over Brian Davis by 988 votes.

Incumbent Senator Pat Roberts won by a wide margin in the county over Independent candidate Greg Orman by 2,764 votes.

The county vote for Governor was a little closer where incumbent Republican Gov. Sam Brownback won a second term over Democrat Paul Davis by 1,294 votes.

Figures are based on information released from the Reno County Election Office Monday afternoon.
