HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A Hutchinson man arrested for allegedly eluding law enforcement on Nov. 18 of last year saw his competency hearing scheduled for Tuesday pushed back to Friday.
Christopher Hall in one case is charged with felony flee and elude, driving while suspended and disorderly conduct. The latest case involves burglary of a dwelling located in the 500 block of Porter and misdemeanor theft. That case also goes back to Nov. 18 of last year, however the complaint wasn’t filed until February of this year.
The first case started in the early morning hours when Hutchinson Police responded to a disturbance around 3:30 a.m. at the IHOP Restaurant on the east side of Hutchinson. They then tried to make contact with Hall, but he allegedly refused to stop his vehicle and the chase began. It eventually ended on U.S. 50 where he stopped his vehicle and surrendered around 4 a.m.
The competency hearing, when it takes place, will be in front of Judge Joe McCarville.
