Sunday Weather

A strong storm system will affect Kansas through Monday. Strong to marginally severe storms are possible this evening, with the greatest threat across South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas. The greatest threat from any severe storm that develops will be quarter sized hail and wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph. During the overnight hours, the severe threat will transition to a heavy rainfall threat, as rain and embedded thunderstorms track over the same areas. The greatest threat for river flooding will exist across Southeast Kansas, which experienced heavy rainfall late last week. Some low water crossing again may become impassable due to high water along smaller rivers.
