HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Board of Trustees of Hutchinson Community College met the faces of HCC recruitment to start the October board meeting Thursday evening.
The board was introduced to the HCC Student Ambassadors and the HCC admissions counselors as part of the monthly meeting. The Ambassador group, comprised of HCC students from all areas of the college, assists the Admissions Office with recruiting and conduct campus visits and tours throughout the year. The group also contacts current and prospective students to address questions about HCC.
In addition, the group maintains a Facebook account, along with other social media channels, to contact students through the internet and share their experiences with campus life.
The board heard an update to the campus master plan and a report on the upcoming dedication of the Jack Mull Family Football Complex and Bob and Lou Peel Weight Training Center. The Complex and Center will be formally dedicated in ceremonies scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m.
The next meeting of the board will be on Thursday, Nov. 13. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. in the Shears Technology Center Justice Theater. The public is invited to attend.
