HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Kansas State Fair had the fourth highest attendance ever, according to figures released Monday morning.
General Manager Denny Stoecklein tells hutchpost.com that attendance totaled 355,329. It’s the highest since 1998 and the fourth highest total ever. Stoecklein attributes the attendance to a number of factors including the free entertainment, different foods and even the downturn in the economy two years ago, which brought people to the fair as a form of inexpensive vacation, and kept them coming back for the enjoyment.
