HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The a man arrested here in Reno County Monday evening has been formally charged with murder in Ford County.
Victor Gutierrez is also charged with aggravated endangerment of a child, criminal possession of a firearm by a felon and defacing identification marks of a firearm. That word from the Ford County Attorney’s Office late Friday afternoon.
The charges in Ford County coming after police there responded to 613 W. Spruce around 5:15 p.m. Monday evening and found 30-year-old Natasha Pruitt dead of a gun shot wound.
The 26-year-old Gutierrez is also charged for crimes associated with a high speed chase here in Reno County. He’s charged with criminal possession of a firearm, felony flee and elude and possession of cocaine. He then led law enforcement here in a high speed chase that ended at U.S. 50 and Mayfield Rd. where he pulled over and was taken into custody without incident.
No word on when he’ll appear in Ford County.
Bond in the local case is at $20,000 and now has a bond of $250,000 in the case in Ford County for a total of $270,000.
His next appearance in Reno County District Court is on October 21.
