HUTCHINSON, Kan. — United Way of Reno County launched its 2014 campaign with a rally of sorts just north of the Hutchinson Public Library Tuesday evening. They hope to raise $1.5 million this year.
The theme this year is around the word “rally” and those who attended could buy a rally hat and join them for their rally to raise awareness of the agencies they represent. The agencies had representatives present for those who may have questions about their agency.
Most of the money raised comes from the generosity of workers across the city who give as a payroll deduction through their work.
Again, the United Way campaign getting underway and this year’s goal is $1.5 million.
