LITTLE RIVER, Kan. -A semi truck driver was injured in an accident just before 11 p.m. on Tuesday in Rice County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1994 Freightliner semi driven by Amir Memic, 28, Arnold Mo., was eastbound on U.S. 56 four miles east of Little River when it struck several cows in the roadway.
The semi left the roadway entered the south ditch and overturned.
Memic was transported to Rice County Hospital.
The KHP reported he was not wearing a seat belt.
