HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Although no details could be disclosed, there could be a group interested in purchasing the
Ramada Hotel and Conference Center.
According to the Hotel’s new General Manager Larry Goodwin, who is with DePalma Company, which is the operator for the financially-troubled hotel, a regional group may be interested in the purchase. DePalma has been the operating firm of the hotel since 2009, when several banks took over the hotel. At one time it looked like the hotel was going to be sold, but the deal fell through at the last minute. That asking price was said to have been in excess of $2 million, though no actual figures were released.
Goodwin says he hopes the sale happens soon so that some needed renovation of the facility can take place and the hotel can move on again.
